Biography

A prominent (second-generation) cantor and figure in musical circles in Izmir, he was nicknamed Bülbüli Salomon, Salomon the Nightingale. He composed several pieces, including a peşrev each in Husseyni and in Hidjaz. Father to Isaac Algazi, he died in Istanbul in 1930.
